Functioned as Project Manager (lead) for a number of key initiatives within government which have had impacts in the areas of classification, finance and procurement. Developed and delivered project management training to groups of supervisors who in turn, applied that knowledge in their district offices. Managed multiple new IT-supported programs in the not-for-profit sector.

Sample Projects

CAS/Oracle Invoice Approval Workflow Project: Lead a project team of 55 staff, comprised of representative staff from all areas of the ministry through the implementation of the new CAS/Oracle processes. This project was one of the foundation pieces related to the government wide implementation of iProcurement.

Fraser Service Delivery Project: Lead the senior management team (16 staff) through the creation of a formal management structure where none existed before. This included identification of all sub-projects, development of work-breakdown structures, advice related to the creation of project teams to manage sub-projects, and all other details as required. The Fraser Service Delivery Project transitioned the way services were provided to customers from face-to-face to an “over the phone” option of benefit delivery. The regional management team were responsible for the transition, my role was to provide the project management advice, guidance and expertise.

Development of the Fast-Track RFP Process: Lead a smaller project team (6 staff) through the process of developing a Fast-Track process for the hiring (via contract) of Project Managers, and Business Analysts. This process resulted in a new, never done before in government outcome which was appreciated and acknowledged formally as an “employee recognition award” by the ADM of Financial Services at the time.
