Facilitation

Planned, organized and facilitated groups of clients through a process (collectively) in order to meet goals and accomplish the desired results. Created an agenda and tasks/exercises for groups to ensure inclusion, timelines, and focus. Prepared summary reports together with analysis of the outcomes.

  • Facilitation of a broad array of events and activities including both large (over 100) and small (16) groups of staff/project team members.
  • Adapted and modified facilitation approach to suit business need, e.g. facilitation of business planning vs. facilitation of information sessions to support workforce adjustment.
  • Experience with staff of all levels, and from various backgrounds including Clerk R9 to ML8 within the provincial government and in the not-for-profit and private sectors.

BCSAP Common Competency Development Project

This project involved consultation with approximately 80 representatives from the sector which volunteered to serve on focus groups.

Settlement Reference Group Meeting: Plan the event and lead approximately 55 group members through the process of

one-day Settlement Reference Group Meeting was held, sponsored by the Immigration and WelcomeBC Branch (IWBC)

The objectives of the Reference Group Meeting were to:

  • Identify key service delivery principles that have been used to guide the delivery of current services;
  • Assess how well the current service activities offered support newcomer clients to achieve positive outcomes; and
  • Explore potential service activity modifications, additions and/or enhancements to improve client outcomes.

There were 38 participants in attendance, including the facilitator. 27 Staff represented 19 different immigrant service organizations, large and small, as well as urban and rural, from all regions of the province. 10 IWBC staff members attended as well
